A sign to discourage illegal dumping along a spectacular mountain road (Wildcat Mountain Rd. to be specific) created by our 10 yr old son Sylas and I has just been installed by #humboldtcounty Public Works!

Look for it next time you drive out to the #lostcoast. Hopefully it will last for years and those looking for a target practice subject will appreciate the kid artwork and go easy.

Half of the 600+ mosses found in California are known from the Klamath Mountains.

Like the vascular flora, the moss diversity is also associated with the Klamath Mountains’ diverse geology, climate, topography, and plant communities.
