Description

Part 10 of the Klamath Mountains 10-part Webinar Series

The earliest Euro-American explorations of the Klamath Mountain Region were complicated due to its remoteness and rugged terrain and that paradigm still continues today. From Jedediah Smith in the early 1800s to John Sawyer in the late 1900s, a wide range of western scientists have contributed to the understandings we have for the region today.

This webinar series is presented by a collection of the stellar co-authors who have contributed to the book The Klamath Mountains: A Natural History.

Presenter:

James K. Agee is professor emeritus of forest ecology in the College of Forest Resources at the University of Washington, Seattle. He has a fondness for the Klamath as he has been visiting the region since he was a youngster.

5 stars: the serving was generous, the content was rock solid, and the company good. Allison proves out to be an efficient as well as charming host (dare I type hostess?!?) I am infrequent visotr (camping, birding, loafing) in the NorCal/Ore borderlands, but I’ve been in there and thru there for long enough that I knew the quality of the presentation was high and the material endlessly fascinating. Thanks from an elder amateur naturalist.
